Christmas Minis 2026 — Booking Terms
The slightly less exciting part — but an important one 😉
I know reading Booking Terms isn’t nearly as fun as choosing your Christmas session, but please give them a quick read before you book.
They explain how bookings, payments, cancellations, rescheduling, galleries and prints work, so you know what to expect and there are no surprises later.
Nothing scary — just the practical bits that are much nicer to have clear from the beginning.
When you book your session, you’ll be asked to confirm that you’ve read and accepted these Booking Terms.
1. Booking your session
1.1. A Christmas Minis booking is confirmed once you have selected an available date and time, accepted these Booking Terms and the €30 booking deposit has been received and confirmed.
1.2. The €30 booking deposit is part of the total session price and will be deducted from the remaining balance. It is not an additional fee.
1.3. The booking deposit must be paid within 48 hours of making the reservation.
1.4. Payments are made by bank transfer and are confirmed manually by Slow Story Photography. Because of this, your booking may temporarily appear as unpaid even after you have made the transfer.
1.5. If payment has not been received within 48 hours, a payment reminder will be sent. If the deposit remains unpaid for a further 24 hours, the booking may be cancelled and the time slot made available again.
1.6. For bookings made less than 72 hours before the session, the booking deposit should be paid as soon as possible after booking. An unpaid time slot may be released sooner.2. Session price and payment
2.1. The total session price depends on the package and the price applicable at the time of booking, including any valid Early Bird offer.
2.2. The €30 booking deposit is deducted from the total session price.
2.3. The remaining balance for the originally booked package must be paid within 48 hours after the session.
2.4. After receiving the online selection gallery, you may purchase additional photographs or upgrade your package.
2.5. Additional digital photographs cost €10 per image.
2.6. Additional photographs and package upgrades are charged separately after you have made your gallery selection and must be paid before the final photographs and, where applicable, prints are delivered.
2.7. If a Short Story booking is upgraded to Full Story, the upgrade will be calculated using the Full Story price that applied when the original booking was made, including the applicable Early Bird price.3. Cancellation by the client
I understand that plans sometimes change. The following conditions apply when you choose to cancel for reasons other than illness or another genuine unexpected circumstance described in section 4.
3.1. If you cancel your session 7 days or more before the booked date, the €30 booking deposit will be refunded.
3.2. If you cancel less than 7 days but more than 72 hours before the session, the booking deposit will not be refunded in cash, but may be transferred once as €30 credit towards another Slow Story Photography session booked within 6 months.
3.3. The prices and conditions applicable to the new session will apply, and the €30 credit will be deducted from its price.
3.4. If you cancel 72 hours or less before the session, the booking deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred, except in the circumstances described in section 4.
3.5. Failure to attend the session without prior notice is treated as a cancellation and the booking deposit is forfeited.4. Illness and unexpected circumstances
4.1. If illness or another genuine unexpected situation prevents you from attending, please contact me as soon as possible.
4.2. If another suitable Christmas Minis time is still available, I will do my best to move your booking.
4.3. Because Christmas Minis take place on a limited number of specific dates, another greenhouse appointment cannot be guaranteed.
4.4. If no suitable Christmas Minis time remains, I can offer an alternative Christmas session at your home, subject to availability.
4.5. The original package price will remain the same for the home session. Any agreed travel and parking costs will be added separately and discussed with you in advance.
4.6. If the home-session alternative is not suitable, the €30 booking deposit may be transferred once as credit towards another Slow Story Photography session booked within 6 months.
4.7. The prices and conditions applicable to that future session will apply. In this situation, the booking deposit is not refunded in cash.5. Late arrival
5.1. Sessions take place at the agreed date and time.
5.2. Late arrival may shorten the available shooting time because another session may be scheduled afterwards.
5.3. The session price will not be reduced if the session is shortened because of late arrival.6. Cancellation by Slow Story Photography
6.1. If I am unable to carry out the session because of illness or another unexpected circumstance, I will offer an alternative where reasonably possible or refund payments already made for the session.
6.2. In circumstances outside my reasonable control — such as an unexpected closure of the greenhouse, serious technical problems or another situation preventing the session from taking place — I will make reasonable efforts to find a suitable alternative.7. The session
7.1. Christmas Minis 2026 take place on 21, 22, 28 and 29 November 2026 at:

7.2. A full hour is reserved for each booking. The photography session itself usually takes approximately 30–50 minutes.
7.3. The exact length of the session may vary depending on how the session develops and does not affect the agreed package price.
7.4. Christmas Minis are open to families, couples, maternity sessions, children, grandparents with grandchildren and other suitable small groups.
7.5. Dogs and other pets may take part where permitted by the venue. You remain responsible for your animal during the session and for any damage or disruption caused by it.8. Photographs and online gallery
8.1. The number of photographs included depends on the package selected.
Short Story includes:
- 7 professionally edited digital photographs.
Full Story includes:
- 15 professionally edited digital photographs;
- 15 professional 15 × 23 cm prints.
8.2. After the session, you will receive an online gallery from which you can select the photographs included in your package.
8.3. The selection gallery will be sent within 5 working days after the session.
8.4. You will have 2 calendar days from receiving the gallery to submit your selection.
8.5. Selections submitted later will still be accepted, but may delay the final delivery of your photographs and prints. If your selection is submitted late, delivery of printed photographs before Christmas cannot be guaranteed.
8.6. Your selected photographs will then receive their final editing.
8.7. Additional digital photographs may be purchased for €10 each.
8.8. Additional photographs purchased with Short Story are delivered digitally only.
8.9. If upgrading to Full Story becomes better value, you may choose to upgrade your package instead.
8.10. Additional photographs purchased as part of Full Story will also be supplied as matching 15 × 23 cm prints.9. Prints and collection
9.1. Prints are included only where they are specifically listed as part of the chosen package.
9.2. Full Story includes 15 professional 15 × 23 cm prints in the packaging described in the current offer.
9.3. If additional photographs are purchased with Full Story, matching prints for those additional photographs are also included.
9.4. Finished prints can be collected personally either at Op ’t Hof Olmenstein at an agreed time or from Slow Story Photography by prior arrangement.
9.5. If personal collection is not convenient, prints can be sent by PostNL. Shipping costs are not included in the package price and will be communicated before shipment.
9.6. If you choose postal delivery, Slow Story Photography cannot guarantee that the parcel will arrive before Christmas, as postal delivery times are outside my control.
9.7. If receiving your prints before Christmas is important to you, personal collection is recommended.
9.8. Print production and delivery also depend on submitting your photo selection within the requested timeframe. A late selection may delay the prints and means delivery before Christmas cannot be guaranteed.10. Early Bird video bonus
Eligible Early Bird bookings include a few short video clips captured during the photography session as an additional bonus.
The clips are delivered as separate short clips rather than as a finished reel or edited film. The number and length of clips may vary depending on what can be captured naturally during the session.
Clips may include their original sound. Music is not added.11. Editing and copyright
11.1. Final photographs are delivered with my individual editing, which forms part of the photographic style of Slow Story Photography.
11.2. By booking the session, you acknowledge the photographic and editing style shown in my portfolio.
11.3. Copyright to the photographs remains with Slow Story Photography.
11.4. You receive the delivered photographs for personal use.
11.5. Final photographs may not be re-edited, retouched, altered, have filters applied to them or be cropped in a way that significantly changes the image without prior permission from Slow Story Photography.
11.6. This helps ensure that photographs shared publicly continue to reflect the original work and editing style of Slow Story Photography.12. Permission to use photographs
12.1. Permission for Slow Story Photography to use photographs from your session on the website, portfolio, social media or for promotional purposes is optional.
12.2. You may give or refuse this permission separately.
12.3. Refusing permission does not affect your booking, session or the package purchased.13. Personal data
13.1. Personal information provided in connection with your booking and session will be processed for the purposes necessary to organise and deliver the photography service.
13.2. Further information about how personal data is handled can be found in the Slow Story Photography Privacy Policy.

14.1. These Booking Terms apply specifically to Christmas Minis 2026 provided by Slow Story Photography.
14.2. Matters not covered by these Booking Terms are governed by applicable Dutch law.
14.3. Nothing in these Booking Terms limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14.4. If a problem or disagreement arises, both sides will first try to resolve it directly and reasonably.
